Award Description
The Water & Electrolyte Homeostasis (WEH) Section’s most prestigious award is the Ernest H. Starling Distinguished Lectureship. This lecture is awarded annually to an APS member recognized for exceptional contributions and lifelong dedication to water and electrolyte homeostasis research.
Eligibility
The nominee must be:
- an APS members who has made significant and meritorious contributions to WEH related research.
Criteria
Nomination must be submitted by APS members. The nomination package includes:
- a nomination letter which describes the nominee’s accomplishments and
- the nominee’s curriculum vitae.
The WEH Steering Committee selects the recipient as a representative of the best within the discipline. Lecturers will present a talk and be active participants at the American Physiology Summit.
