The Renal Section Research Recognition Awards recognize the meritorious research by young investigators/junior faculty who attend the American Physiological Society’s annual meeting at Experimental Biology (EB). Awardees will be invited and encouraged to write a mini-review for the American Journal of Physiology—Renal Physiology on a topic related to their submitted abstract Mini-reviews are to be on a topic related to their abstract, with fewer than 1500 words and no more than one figure. Awardees must attend EB to collect the cash prize and are recognized at the Renal Banquet.
- Previous winners of this award are not eligible to apply.
- Applicant cannot apply for a Postdoctoral Excellence in Research Award in the same award year.
- Be equivalent to or below the rank of assistant professor or a comparable position in a research track at an academic institution or in industry.
Applicants are required to submit the following:
- Submit and upload a copy of an EB abstract under a Renal Section category.
- Curriculum vitae.
Please note: that materials in excess (eg., inclusion of extra letters beyond 2 required letters or inclusion or curriculum vitae) will be excluded from evaluation.
