Award Description

The Renal Section Predoctoral Excellence in Renal Research Awards recognize predoctoral students who are first author on a renal-based abstract presented at the American Physiological Society’s annual meeting at Experimental Biology (EB). Finalists will be notified prior to EB and will be judged by the Renal Section Awards Committee during the Renal Section’s Posters and Professor's Reception at the meeting. Awardees are recognized at the Renal Banquet at EB. Each awardee will be invited to submit a mini-review to the American Journal of Physiology—Renal Physiology with the senior author listed on their abstract. Mini-reviews are to be on a topic related to their abstract, with fewer than 1500 words and no more than one figure.
