Award Description
The American Physiological Society (APS) Renal Section Postdoctoral Excellence in Renal Research Award recognize postdoctoral fellows who are first author on a renal-based abstract presented at the American Physiology Summit.
Eligibility
Applicants must be an APS member in good standing with primary Renal Section affiliation. The previous winners of this award are not eligible to apply.
Criteria
Applicants must upload a copy of their first-authored abstract submitted to the American Physiology Summit under a Renal Section category.
Review Criteria
Applicant's abstract will be reviewed for the following:
- A clearly stated hypothesis or aim
- the technical approach to the study
- the pertinent results obtained with quantitative and statistical comparisons, when appropriate
- a clearly stated conclusion, and
- the significance of the results to the field.
Finalist will be notified prior to the American Physiology Summit and their posters will be judged by the Renal Section Awards Committee. Awardees are recognized at the American Physiology Summit.
