SECTION ANNOUNCEMENTS

ELECTIONS

The GI/Liver Section would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our outgoing members Ernie Wright and Ken Mandel. They both have done a wonderful job during their tenure on the committee. Thank you very much! Several members of our steering committee will be completing their three-year terms on the committee by April 2003. A Nominating Committee (Linda Samuelson, Nigel Bunnett, Helen Raybould and Matt Grisham) has been formed to identify qualified candidates for election to the GI/Liver section steering committee.

If you or anyone you know are interested in serving on the GI/Liver section steering or programming committee, please contact Matt Grisham or any one of the members of the Nominating Committee – We are anxious to hear from you!

NEW STEERING COMMITTEE MEMBERS

I am very excited about assuming the position of chair of the Section Steering committee from Helen Raybould. Helen did an outstanding job of promoting the Gastrointestinal/Liver Section for the Experimental Biology meetings. Helen deserves our heart-felt thanks for a job well done. I would also like to introduce our new steering committee members: Chris Cheesemon, Curtis Okamoto and Ron Ferraris. Welcome aboard!
