Opening PDF files in PhotoShop

PDF is a great format to use when trying to take images out of one program (say Excel) and editing it in Photoshop. Just cutting and pasting an image can often ruin the quality. Saving the original image as a PDF and then opening that file in Photoshop can make a huge difference in the quality.

It is important to open PDF documents at the correct resolution and color space for the intended printed result.

- Set the appropriate resolution

- Set the appropriate color space
