Star reviewers are selected based on consistent outstanding service as reviewers for manuscripts that are submitted to American Physiological Society (APS) journals, including:

  • Timeliness of review

  • Number of manuscripts reviewed

  • Consistent willingness to accept invitations to review

The winners, who were selected based on reviews that they submitted last year, were announced at the Editorial Board meeting on April 28, 2007, and the APS Publications Banquet, both held during the Experimental Biology meeting in Washington D.C. in April.
