Science and Public Engagement
Alan Leshner, CEO of
AAAS, wrote the following opinion piece in the Chronicle of Higher
Education on how to engage in a respectful dialogue with the public on
scientific issues with the goal of finding common ground.

FASEB Advocacy resources
In this
time of tight research budgets, it is especially important that
scientists communicate the importance of their research to their
communities and elected leaders. The FASEB Office of Science Policy has
prepared a series of powerpoint presentations that highlight the impact
of research in each state. Not all presentations are currently available
online, but there is a customizable that can be modified to fit your
needs.
