Information: Conflict of Interest at NIH. An article in today's Los Angeles Times reports that an investigation by the HHS Office of the Inspector General found that many NIH employees' applications for outside consulting work were approved based on "limited" information. The report described in the article has not yet been made available to the public and is expected to be issued sometime today. Throughout the NIH conflict of interest controversy, the Los Angeles Times has published several articles critical of current policies. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/

Information: Evolution and Intelligent Design. Earlier this week President Bush spoke to reporters about intelligent design and teaching evolution in the classroom.
