Dr. Zerhouni testifies before Congress, starts newsletter In an effort to shore up support for the NIH in an extremely tight budget year, NIH leadership is reaching out to make the case for continued support of the agency. Earlier this month, Dr. Zerhouni appeared before the House Appropriations subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education. Dr. Zerhouni's testimony focused on the major existing and emerging threats to human health, with an emphasis on efforts to make medicine personalized, pre-emptive and predictive (the three P's).
