Physiology of Cell State Transitions
The Systems Biology of Cell State Regulation and Single Cell Analysis section within the journal Physiological Genomics is issuing a call for primary manuscripts and reviews on the topic of the physiology of cell state transitions.  Many of the most important processes in biology are based on the ability of cells to transition between cellular states, for instance, during differentiation, a commitment to proliferation, reprogramming, or senescence.  We are actively soliciting manuscripts on the topic of cell state transitions, including high-throughput approaches to investigating cellular transitions, single cell analysis of cellular transitions, and investigations of the physiological implications of cellular transitions.  Studies involving genome-wide analyses such as transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics or metabolomics are welcome. Submissions investigating the behavior of single cells undergoing transitions are also welcome. Manuscripts will be accepted until June 30, 2019. Please contact Hilary Coller (hcoller@ucla.edu) with any questions.
