Gut Hormones, Metabolism, Appetite, and Obesity

Physiological mechanisms controlling the central nuclei and the gastrointestinal motor, digestive, absorptive, and endocrine functions contribute to sensations of appetite and satiation. They are increasingly recognized as important factors in the development of obesity. Studies of appetite, satiation, and obesity, using physiological principles, are of great interest to readers of the American Journal of Physiology-Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology.

All manuscripts should be submitted online via eJournalPress. During the online submission process, under the “Keywords & Special Sections” tab, please use the “Category” drop-down menu and select “Call for Papers: Gut Hormones, Metabolism, Appetite, and Obesity”.

Manuscripts will undergo normal peer review as they are received. Accepted manuscripts will be published online as they are accepted. Articles published from this Call for Papers will be highlighted at the time of publication. The collection may also include specially commissioned research articles related to the topic.

Manuscripts can be submitted anytime, but to be eligible for inclusion in this Call for Papers, manuscripts must be submitted by October 1, 2018.
