Epigenetics and microRNAs in Kidney Physiology and Pathophysiology

The American Journal of Physiology - Renal Physiology is seeking manuscripts specifically related to epigenetics and microRNA’s in kidney physiology and pathophysiology. Epigenetics and micro-RNA represent critical regulatory mechanisms of gene expression that don’t involve alterations in DNA sequence. There is increasing evidence that epigenetics and microRNA play important roles in the pathophysiology of many kidney diseases. Submitted papers may explore the role of epigenetics and microRNA in any kidney diseases including CKD, AKI, ESRD, Hypertension, and urothelial disorders.

Authors should indicate in their letter to the editor and the online submission form under “Manuscript Type” that the submitted manuscript is in response to a Special Call for Papers. Accepted manuscripts will be published under a distinct heading and will receive special attention and handling.
