2018 New Investigator Review Award

This competition is open to all physiologists in the early stage of their careers, whose terminal degree was granted within the past seven calendar years. Postdoctoral fellows, residents/interns, junior faculty, and young physiologists in industry are invited submit single-authored, original review manuscripts detailing physiologic mechanisms from the molecular to the organismal levels, in all species, including man. These should be full review manuscripts with comprehensive reference lists, which provide synthesis of state-of-the-art knowledge in a defined area highlighting new questions and pointing to future research directions. Submitted reviews will undergo traditional peer review. Selected authors will receive a cash award of $1,000.

Manuscripts should be submitted online via eJournal Press. During the online submission process, under the “Keywords & Special Sections” tab, please use the “Category” dropdown menu and select: “Call for Papers: 2018 New Investigator Review Award.” A current CV must be submitted as Supplemental Material. All accepted manuscripts, including those not chosen for an award, will be published online as they are accepted. Articles published from this Call for Papers will be highlighted with a special Call for Papers banner at the time of publication.

Manuscripts can be submitted anytime, but to be eligible for inclusion in this Call for Papers, they must be submitted by June 30, 2018.
