Starting with the January 2012 issues, the 7 sections of the American Journal of Physiology are published online twice monthly, and then published in print once each month, with both issues of each month for all of the 7 sections printed in the traditional hard copy bound edition of AJP - Consolidated, which is mailed near the end of the month. The Journal of Neurophysiology and the Journal of Applied Physiology are also published online twice monthly, with both issues of each month published in the traditional hard copy bound editions of each journal.
The first monthly online issues for these nine APS journals are uploaded about 10 days before the first of the month, and the second monthly online issues are uploaded on or about the 1st of the month. Then, both issues for the month are bound into single print volumes and mailed near the middle or end of the month.
