APS Election Arrives in January 2016
Are you a regular member in good standing? If not, please pay your dues so you can vote in the Society’s 2016 election. Ballots will be distributed in early January, and you will have the opportunity to vote for one individual for president-elect and three individuals for Council. The slate of candidates is:

Nominate Yourself for an APS Committee
Do you want to gain valuable experience and provide service to APS? If so, you should nominate yourself for a committee. Nominations are due by January 16, 2016, for appointments that begin on January 1, 2017.
The committees with vacancies and the responsibilities of members of each committee are outlined on the APS website.
The Committee on Committees (COC) recently updated the description of the committee nomination process. Diversity is an important component of the selection process so consult your section’s COC representative when nominating yourself for a committee.
APS Seeking to Hire a Higher Education Program Coordinator
The APS invites applications for a higher education program coordinator, a full-time position in the APS Education Office at the Bethesda, Md., headquarters. The coordinator will organize and implement internally and externally funded higher education projects.
