Press Registration For Experimental Biology 2011 Now Open

Change in policy to affect journals without news sections and editors of non-news journal sections

BETHESDA, Md. (Feb. 28, 2011) - Registration for complimentary press passes for the Experimental Biology 2011 (EB 2011) meeting is now open. As in previous years, complimentary registration is available to credentialed representatives of the press in anticipation of reporting on the science being presented at the meeting.

Change in Policy Affects Journals Without News Sections, Non-News Editors
As announced in February 2010, representatives of journals without news sections and editors of non-news sections are ineligible to register as media but are welcome to attend the conference at the regular conference rate and attend as regular conference participants. The change, posted online and included in all media updates, is due in part to an increase in the number of requests for a limited number of press passes. Additional information and limitations for obtaining press passes are available on the website. Specific inquiries should be sent to media@faseb.org.

Bloggers

This year, EB will offer a limited number of press passes to conference bloggers. Individuals who wish to learn more about becoming official meeting bloggers should mail their inquiries to media@faseb.org or call 301-634-7235.

Additional Information

The meeting is hosted by the American Association of Anatomists (AAA), American Physiological Society (APS), American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP), American Society for Nutrition (ASN), and American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET).  The meeting will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C.
