Become a Strategic Partner

APS Strategic Partners are leading companies providing physiology research and teaching products and services who agree to provide substantial, year-round support for APS programs, events and awards. In turn, Partners receive significant recognition and build relationships with APS members through customized sponsorship packages and enhanced access.

The program allows Partners to reach the APS membership base of ~11,000 physiology researchers and achieve various marketing objectives such as brand awareness, lead generation, corporate social responsibility and thought leadership.

Key Facts about the APS membership

  • APS has ~11,000 members who hold doctoral degrees in physiology and other life sciences (PhDs, MDs, etc.) or are students working toward a doctoral degree.
  • Members largely work at academic institutions, although sizable numbers work in government and industry as well. One-quarter work outside of the U.S.
  • Trainees account for one-third of the membership, including undergraduates, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Over 4,000 physiologists (members and non-members) attend our annual meeting at Experimental Biology.
  • APS members affiliate with up to three sections devoted to a specific sub-discipline within physiology. The member distribution by primary section affiliation is:
