Mission Statement:  The Oklahoma Society of Physiologists is an organization of scientists, educators, and students in the State of Oklahoma dedicated to promoting research and education in the physiological sciences at all levels. The Oklahoma Society of Physiologists has chapter status with the American Physiological Society. This greatly enhances the ability of the society to play an active role in community education of the physiological sciences. Through the efforts of its members, the Oklahoma Society of Physiologists will continue to foster professional collaboration among Oklahoma institutions and high schools in order to meet the contemporary challenges confronting scientists and educators of physiology.

 

ANNOUNCEMENT: 
OKLAHOMA SOCIETY OF PHYSIOLOGISTS
37th ANNUAL MEETING
July 23, 2018
OSU-CHS


The Oklahoma Society of Physiologists (OSP) will hold their 37th annual meeting at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) in Tulsa on July 23, 2018.  The meeting is a joint effort with Tulsa Chapter of the Society of Neuroscience and the TABERC - undergraduate research program.  Poster presentations from high school, undergraduate, and graduate students will be judged for competitive awards.  Dr. Nurulain Zaveri will give the keynote address titled: "The Nociceptin Opiod Receptor as a Therapeutic Target: Progress in Translation from Preclinical Research to Clinical Utility".  The meeting will conclude with a dinner social.
