Volunteer for APS Committee service
Deadline: January 15
It is time to consider serving on a committee for the APS. There are many committees with trainee slots for graduate students, but postdocs can serve as well as regular members. Service on an APS committee has many rewards. Not only do you get credit for national service, but you also get to meet a lot of interesting people and work on various projects that have a real impact on the scientific community.

The nomination process is quite simple. Just go to the APS committees website (http://www.the-aps.org/committees) and click on Nomination Form. You will then need to download two simple forms, one for you and one for someone to endorse your nomination. The forms can then be emailed to the APS office (nominations@the-aps.org).
