Established in 2007, this award is given to pre-doctoral students that submit a first author abstract to an APS Water & Electrolyte Homeostasis Section sponsored topic category at the annual EB meeting. The Section Awards Committee selected the finalists who agreed to attend EB and make an oral presentation in a WEH sponsored session. Finalists were judged on the oral presentation, and one pre-doctoral student received the Research Recognition Award and an additional $500. All finalists received $500 plus reimbursement of the advanced meeting registration fee and 1 year paid APS membership dues.
