Be Part of the National Day of Action for
Research Funding!

What and When

Advocates for biomedical research will convene in Washington, D.C. on September 14, 2017 to ask Congress to make funding for biomedical research a national priority. As part of this Rally for Medical Research, scientists and patient advocates will fan out across Capitol Hill to meet with their Members of Congress.

APS members can also participate by “rallying” at home as part of the National Day of Action!


Take action by:

  • Sending an email message
  • Placing a phone call
  • Visiting the local offices of your representatives
  • Sending messages on social media

The goal of the Rally for Medical Research is increased funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The APS also advocates for scientific research funding at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and other agencies.
