Members

APS membership comes with a free online subscription to all 14 APS journals, providing access to the full text of almost 4,000 high-quality research papers per year, from all areas of physiology. In addition, the APS Legacy Content is free to all APS members.

If you are an active member you can purchase your print subscription by mail, email, fax, or online.

Non-Members

You can purchase a personal subscription by mail, email, fax, or online.

The following information will be needed before your personal subscription is fulfilled:

Please send a photocopy of your student/staff ID at the university/institution where you do your research. If you are a student, please send a letter on institution stationary from your advisor attesting to your student status at the university. The letter must include name and full contact information including institutional email address of your advisor.

If you are a staff member, please include the name and full contact information including the institutional email address of your supervisor for verification of employment at the university/institution.

If you are a physician in private practice, please forward (by fax, email, or regular mail) a letter on hospital stationary verifying that you have staff privileges at that hospital. Please also include the name and full contact information including the institutional email address of the hospital administrator for verification of your staff privileges.

Educational certificates will not be accepted as proof of personal status.

Article Pay Per View

Non-subscribers and/or non-members of APS can purchase any article of interest for a nominal fee of $20 per paper ($30 for an article in Physiological Reviews). If you are denied access to an article because you do not have a subscription, a pay-per-view screen will pop up and give you the option to purchase the article with a credit card payment.
