Color is considered "scientifically necessary" only when there is no other way to show the data in the figure. The use of color is not always necessary when showing graphic representations of data. Decisions regarding the necessity of color use will be made by the Scientific Editor of the individual journal. If there is any question regarding the use of color, contact the Editorial Manger or the Editorial Art Manager.
