APS offers fellowships, awards, and opportunities specifically for minority faculty and educators at minority-serving institutions. These fellowships are designed to not only provide funding but to also offer opportunities to build connections with the scientific and education communities. The LifeSciTRC Scholars Online Workshop is designed to help faculty and teachers become both proficient digital library users and contributors to the LifeSciTRC Community of Practice.
This program is for middle and high school science teachers who seek to experience scientific research over the summer months, explore effective pedagogy, and develop new curricular materials.
Travel Fellowships for underrepresented grad students, postdocs and early career faculty to attend EB or APS Conferences.
BEN Scholars are undergraduate faculty leaders in biological sciences teaching and learning, with a passion for improving undergraduate education. They receive (1) training in leadership and effective use of digital libraries, (2) resources to use in their own classrooms and to share with colleagues through presentations, workshops, and one-on-one mentoring, (3) integration into the BEN Scholars Network, (4) recognition from BEN collaborators, and (5) travel support, as well as a small stipend. Applications are accepted annually.
