The APS sponsors programs which are targeted and/or include a strong focus on increasing diversity in biomedicine at all levels and/or improving K-12 science education for minority students. Many of these programs receive external funding. The links below and to the left provide additional information on these programs.

This program is for middle and high school science teachers who seek to experience scientific research over the summer months, explore effective pedagogy, and develop new curricular materials.

The annual Horvath Awards provide $500 and complimentary registration for the Experimental Biology meeting.
