The APS sponsors programs which are targeted and/or include a strong focus on increasing diversity in biomedicine at all levels and/or improving K-12 science education for minority students. Frontiers In Physiology Teacher Professional Development Fellowship

This program is for middle and high school science teachers who seek to experience scientific research over the summer months, explore effective pedagogy, and develop new curricular materials.

National Resource Mentoring Network (NRMN)

The NRMN is a consortium created to provide networking and mentoring experiences in support of training and professional development of individuals underrepresented in biomedical research careers.

Steven M. Horvath Professional Development Opportunity Awards

The annual Horvath Awards provide $500 and complimentary registration for the Experimental Biology meeting.
