PhUn Week

Nearly 10,000 K-12 students at 42 sites across the U.S. participated in PhUn Week activities in 2009. More than 150 physiologists and 89 teachers worked together to offer students a hands-on physiology experience and to explore physiology careers. Sites included schools, universities, medical schools, and science museums.

Student profile data showed that more than 40% of the participating students were Hispanic/Latino and a third of the students were Black/African-American, Asian, American Indian/Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.
