This professional development course is designed for upper level graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career faculty who want to develop their teaching skills. Pre- and post-workshop assignments will be required, as well as those that are part of the in-person course. As part of the course, students will develop a micro-teach demonstrating their understanding of effective teaching.
The APS Professional Skills Training (PST) Course on Writing and Reviewing for Scientific Journals is designed for upper level graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and any researcher who wants to hone his/her manuscript writing skills. As part of the course, students share their first draft manuscript with a small working group that includes peers and an instructor with publication experience.
The APS Professional Skills Training (PST) Course on Professional Integrity / Publication Ethics focuses on building student skills in understanding and applying professional standards of practice for Professional Integrity / Publication Ethics in science and engineering.
