General Information for Registration
Abstract Deadline:
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is March 30, 2012. Deadline extended until 5:00 PM EST on Friday, April 6, 2012.
Registration Deadlines and Fees:
The registration fee includes entry into all scientific sessions, opening reception, breakfast, lunch, poster sessions and socials. The registration fee does not include your abstract or housing payments. These are separate payments. Register early! The registration deadline is June 8, 2012.
Registration:
To register, please choose from one of the three registration methods below. Once your registration has been received by the APS office, it will be processed and entered into the registration system.
Badges and receipts will be mailed to advance domestic registrants before the meeting. If you did not receive or lost your meeting badge prior to the conference, please come to the registration desk for a replacement. Foreign registrants may pick up their conference badge, receipt, and other meeting materials at the registration desk.
Career Session:
Writing Your First Paper: The “Ins” and “Outs” of Authorship
Presented by Irving H. Zucker, Ph.D., University of Nebraska Medical Center
Discuss with an experienced investigator the criteria for authorship and various roles authors can play during the research process and preparation and publication of a manuscript. Through case studies, explore real-life scenarios and how best to deal with the various issues that can arise with authorship. Light refreshments will be served.
To sign up for this event, simply indicate your interest on the registration. There is no fee associated with this event.
Special Event:
Join your colleagues for a dinner event at the Joslyn Art Museum. The event will be held on Tuesday, July 10. Dinner will be served in the European-inspired Storz Fountain Courtyard. Tickets are on a first come first served basis and are $50 per person. Limited tickets may be available for purchase at the registration desk during the conference. Program/Abstract Volume:
All abstracts submitted for this conference will be bound with the official program and handed out onsite. These abstracts are considered in press of The Physiologist. They will appear in the December 2012 issue and should be cited as "program number [#], in press". All registrants should come to the onsite Registration Desk to receive a copy of the program. You must show your registration badge to obtain a program.
Continuing Medical Education (CME):
Continuing Medical Education credits will not be available for this conference.
