Developing Critical Leadership Skills

2009 Mentoring Symposium on
"Pathways to Leadership: Developing Critical Skills"

(Mentoring Workshop Sponsored by Women in APS and ASPET Committees)

Organizers:
Holly Brevig  (ASPET)
Andrea del Tredici (ASPET)
Barbara Alexander (APS)

The idea behind the workshop is that women at senior levels tell how their own life experiences helped them develop important leadership skills.  Thus, each talk will be a variation on the standard "how I got there talk", with a focus on skills such as management, organization, and communication.  Speakers will be from different career paths, e.g. academic, industry, patent law, etc.,
