The Section Chairs act as the Society’s Nominating Committee. It is their responsibility to select the final list of nominees each year for voting by the membership. To contact your section chair, click on the Sections link to the left.

Sections
The Society is comprised of 12 sections. Sections are responsible for most of the scientific programming for the annual Experimental Biology meeting. Members are allowed to select one primary affiliation plus secondary and tertiary affiliations. Members can login to the Members-only area to change sectional affiliation.
Sections contribute to the governance of the Society through representation on various APS Committees such as the Awards Committee, Liaison with Industry Committee, Nominating Committee, Section Advisory Committee, and others. Sections are governed by their Section Steering Committees comprised of members serving in various offices such as Chair, Treasurer, Program Representative, newsletter editor, etc. Section Steering Committee members are listed on the respective section’s web pages located on the Sections link to the left.
