 We
lost a dear friend and an individual who made a significant contribution to
the biomedical field and our community. She brought a keen, lively, creative
and deeply perceptive intelligence to everything she did and was always a
profoundly warm, generous and loyal friend. She had a series of
extraordinary students whose work bears witness to her influence,
wide-ranging curiosity and intellectual rigor. Solange, even in poor health,
continued to go to work at least one day a week and recently submitted a
grant proposal. She had Great Spirit and would not give up. We shall miss
her companionship and friendship. |
