On April 17, 2004, friend and colleague, John Coleridge, M.D. died in
Oxford England. Dr. Coleridge is survived by wife Hazel Coleridge, daughter
Judith Flazenberg of Philadelphia, daughter Sarah Murray of Oxford, England,
daughter Laura Coleridge, DVM of Cambridge England, and son John Coleridge,
M.D. of Australia. Several grandchildren also survive him.
Dr. Coleridge was Professor Emeritus of the Cardiovascular Research
Institute of the University of California, San Francisco. The world's
leading authority on the role of lung and cardiac afferent nerves in animal
and human physiology.
