Liaison with Industry Committee Awards

The Liaison with Industry Committee Postdoctoral Novel Disease Model Award ($800 plus reimbursement of the advance registration fee) recognizes a postdoctoral trainee who submits the best abstract describing a disease model at Experimental Biology 2009. While the model may be cellular or in vivo, the applicant should  clearly emphasize the novelty of the model and the potential utility of the system for future research related to a disease process. The applicant does not have to be an APS member and there are no restrictions on how the award is spent. Applicants must upload a copy of their EB09 meeting first-authored abstract and a brief description of what is new or novel about the model and the applicant’s contribution to the research. Awardees are recognized at the APS Business Meeting. All application materials must be completed online by December 15, 2008.
