APS AWARDEE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TAX RULES

Liaison with Industry Committee Awards

Liaison with Industry Committee Pre-doctoral Novel Disease Model Award ($500 plus reimbursement of the advance registration fee) recognizes a graduate student who submits the best abstract describing a novel disease model at the annual Experimental Biology meeting. The model can be cellular or in vivo but should clearly emphasize the potential utility of the system for future research related to a disease process. The applicant does not have to be an APS member and there are no restrictions on how the award is spent. Applicants must upload a copy of their first-authored abstract. Awardees are recognized at the APS Business Meeting. All application materials must be completed online by November 2, 2005 at: www.the-aps.org/eforms/awards.
