Obesity has become a national
epidemic, with ~65% of Americans currently above the ideal body weight. It
is well know that obesity contributes to the morbidity and mortality from
diabetes, heart disease and stroke. However, it is less well known that
obesity contributes to kidney disease. This symposium will present key
aspects of the relationship of obesity to chronic kidney disease.
