Meeting Title 2007 APS Conference: Sex and Gender in Cardiovascular-Renal Physiology and Pathophysiology. Meeting Dates This meeting will take place August 9-12, 2007. Registration Deadline The deadline for advance registration is June 11, 2007. Registration Categories APS Member: An APS member in good standing with their dues. Member must have paid their membership up until December 2007. Retired Member: A current APS Emeritus member in good standing. Nonmember: A scientist who is not a member of APS. Click here to join to become an APS member and save $50 on the registration fee. Postdoctoral: Any person who has received a Ph.D. degree in physiology or related field, within four years of this meeting, as attested to by the department head is eligible to register at the postdoctoral fee. A statement signed by the department head must accompany the registration form and remittance when registering in advance OR onsite. If you have received your Ph.D. after the four years, please register as a member or nonmember. Student: Any student member or regularly matriculated student working toward a degree in one of the biomedical sciences is eligible to register at the student fee. Nonmember postdoctoral fellows, hospital residents and interns, and laboratory technicians do not qualify as students. For nonmember students, certification of eligibility signed by the department head or research advisor must accompany the remittance for advance student registration. Member students need only supply the APS membership ID number. Students who register onsite must provide either: a certificate or letter signed by the department head AND/OR student ID card or, their current APS membership card indicating their student category status. Personal and corporate checks are accepted providing they are made out in US Dollars (USD$) and are drawn on a US bank. Checks must be payable to The American Physiological Society. Refunds The advance registration fee will be refunded to those who must cancel their attendance at the meeting, provided the request for refund is received in the APS Meeting Office before July 20, 2007. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and be accompanied by the advance registration receipt and badge if received by the date of request. Please note that a $25 processing fee will be assessed on all registration refunds. The refund will be issued back to the original credit card that was used or by check. Meeting Badge and Program Badges and receipts will be mailed to advance domestic registrants before the meeting. If you did not receive or lost your meeting badge prior to the meeting, please come to the registration desk for a replacement. Foreign registrants may pick up their meeting badge, receipt, and other meeting materials at the registration desk. All abstracts submitted for this meeting will be bound with the official program and handed out onsite. These abstracts are considered in press of The Physiologist. They will appear in the December 2007 issue and should be cited as "program number [#], in press". All registrants should come to the onsite Registration Desk to receive a copy of the program. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept registrations over the telephone. Please register online or via fax. Q. I would like to register for the meeting; however, I do not have a credit card. What should I do? A. You may register by mail with a check. If you do not have access to a check, please contact the APS Meetings Department for instructions on submitting a wire transfer payment. Q. I am a postdoctoral registrant. Where should I send my letter confirming my postdoctoral status? A. You can choose one of the following methods to send APS your letter confirming your postdoctoral status. By mail: to the Meetings Department at APS in Bethesda, MD, or via fax, or via email. Q. What does my registration fee include? A. The registration fee includes entry to all scientific sessions, lectures, posters, exhibits, opening reception and closing banquet. The fee also includes your meeting badge, notepad, and the official meeting program. Q. Can I register at the meeting? A. Yes. There will be on-site registration available at the meeting beginning on the first day of the meeting. The registration fees will be higher than the advance registration fees. Once you are registered you will receive your meeting badge and program. Q. I have already registered in advance for the meeting will I receive my meeting program in the mail before the meeting? A. All meeting participants will receive the meeting program at the meeting location. The final meeting program will be online three weeks before the meeting begins. Q. I registered in advance and I have not received my meeting badge? A. If you are in the United States your meeting badge was mailed to the address you provided on the registration form. If you do not receive it by the time you leave for the meeting, simply come to the registration desk to receive another badge. If you are a registrant outside of the United States, please come to the registration desk to pick-up your meeting badge. Q. I have received my meeting badge in the mail; however, the information is incorrect? A. Please bring your badge to the registration desk to get a replacement.
