The goal of this refresher course was to provide an overview of recent advances in areas of muscle physiology. The talks provided information that may not be readily available in a standard textbook. Korzick, Penn State University Exercise and the integration of muscle systems (.ppt file) Russell Richardson, Univ. of California-San Diego Afternoon Pedagogy Workshop Muscles in Action: Using Human Exercise to Teach Muscle Physiology The Pedagogy Workshop consisted of 3 stations that featured hands-on activities complementing the presentations given that morning. Three companies provided equipment for the stations measuring responses to dynamic and static exercise.
