Minority Travel Fellowships This program is designed to encourage highly qualified underrepresented minority students (African American, Native American, Hispanic, or Pacific Islander) to pursue professional careers in physiological/biomedical sciences. The program is supported by grants from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) of the National Institutes of Health. About the Program
Since its inception in 1987, the APS-NIDDK Minority Travel Fellowship Program has awarded 665 travel fellowships to 470 undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students and to faculty members at minority institutions.
