Publications and Reports APS Minority Programs are regularly reviewed by both APS Committees and
the APS Council for their effectiveness and impact. Therefore, each
program includes a formative evaluation plan that provides feedback from
participants that allow for ongoing program improvements and enhancements.
Periodically, each program is also evaluation for its longitudinal impact
on participants. Similarly, the APS conducts annual surveys of students
receiving doctoral degrees in physiology and utilizing existing national
databases, the APS develops reports and statistics on the overall
production of new physiologists, the postdoctoral experiences of new
graduates, and the status of physiologists in basic science and clinical
departments in medical schools. Links to reports on the results of
minority program evaluations and surveys of minority students are provided
