Career Development
Physiology is an exciting career choice for many people. The APS provides a number of online resource sites to help you learn more about physiology, find out what physiologists do, meet some interesting physiologists and access useful tools and resources for development of your physiology career. Use the links below to access a wealth of information on scientists, science studies and careers and, of course, a career in physiology!

Professional Skills for Minority Students in Biomedicine: Interactive and Online Development Tools <NEW>
The Professional Skills Project seeks to promote the development of key professional skills among minority graduate and postdoctoral students in biomedicine by creating effective live, online, and CD-ROM short courses. (Supported by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health)

APS Careers In Physiology Website
This website provides extensive resources for two major purposes:
1. To help the general public gain a better understanding of the work that physiologists do; and
2. To assist students and new and experienced physiologists in the development of their careers in science and, especially, in physiology. Broad information is provided on science career topics and on mentoring.

Note that each section of the career web includes specific resources for minority students.
