Activity Formats

This guide is provided for the use of Local Outreach Teams participating in the Frontiers in Physiology Program of the American Physiological Society; and persons developing or adapting curriculum for middle and high school science classrooms.

Local Outreach Teams include research physiologists and middle/high school science educators, working collaboratively to develop and implement professional development activities for middle and high school science classrooms. These activities support the National Science Education Standards for science curricula and science teaching.

The guidelines materials may be duplicated for classroom use and professional development programs for teachers, with proper citation.

The Frontiers in Physiology program is supported by the American Physiological Society and by grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation.
