General Search FAQs

How can I find more institutions offering the degree in which I’m interested?
First, double-check your search parameters. If you have too narrowly defined your search, fewer items will be found.

Have you used an abbreviation instead of spelling out the institution name (e.g., Univ. or UCLA)? Partial university names are acceptable (e.g., Michigan for Michigan State University).

If you continue to have difficulty, please contact us for assistance.

Why don’t all the states have a university listed?
Not all universities offer degrees in physiology. Some chose not to be listed in the database. If you are interested in a specific institution and it is not listed here, you should “Google” the institution and department (if known) and search their web site for the chair of the department or a graduate office. Then contact them directly as to what degrees or specialties they offer.

Why isn’t my institution in the list when I search?
If you are an administrator or chair of a department that offers a degree or concentration in physiology but are not listed in our database, please feel free to go to the “For Institutions Only” link on the Institutions home page and enter your department. We will contact you to review your entry once the information is entered into the database.

If you have any problems adding your institution or questions, contact us for assistance.
