Mini-Grants to Support Lab/Lesson Development

Your Frontiers in Physiology fellowship requires that you develop a lab activity. The APS offers Mini-Grants to current Research Teachers to support the development of your lab/lesson by providing funds for materials not normally available for your lab/classroom.

Mini-Grant funds CAN be used to purchase:

  • Materials or equipment, including software and hardware that will be used by students
  • Printed materials or resources

Mini-Grant funds CANNOT be used to purchase:

  • Books, especially research-related books, except under special circumstances.

We strongly recommend that you use the mini-grant as an opportunity to leverage for additional funds from your home institution, your host's institution, or local companies/foundations.

Classroom Grants

You and your students may benefit more (and more quickly) from a smaller grant that you write and submit rather than a large district-wide grant that gets bogged down in the system.  more
