The Gulf Coast Physiological Society (GCPS)
The GCPS was founded in 1999 as a professional association of
physiologists in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. It was established to
foster collaborative interactions related to research and education and to
develop and nurture greater interest in the physiological sciences among
faculty and students in related undergraduate programs. One of the goals of
GCPS is to develop outreach programs to the many undergraduate programs
facilitating recruitment of undergraduate students into physiology.
