Planning
Planning skills allow you to decide ahead of time how you will run a
research project and what you'll need to run it successfully.
The APS
and the Association of Chairs of
Departments of Physiology recommend that trainees understand the
importance of and work to develop the following planning skills:

a. |
Ability to prioritize tasks |
|
b. |
Ability to identify needed resources
|
|
c. |
Knowledge of how to implement and
manage all phases of complex research projects and follow them through to
completion |
|
d. |
Knowledge of how to develop and
implement a budget |
